    • HOW DOES THE FULL-TIME CELTA COURSE WORK ?

    in person 4 WEEKS FULL-TIME

    • Full-time in person at ILC France in Paris with 120 hours in total.
    • There is a mandatory 6 hours of teaching practice for each candidate.
    • Teaching practice, feedback and guided lesson planning take place every morning.
    • Input seminars take place every afternoon.
    • The mandatory 4 written assignments are submitted in weeks 2 to 4.
    • Contact and exchange with the trainers is continuous every day over the four weeks.

     Location: ILC France 13 passage Dauphine 75006 Paris. Metro/RER: Odéon, St Michel

    100% ONLINE 5 WEEKS FULL-TIME

    • Full-time online in Zoom/Teams. 120 hours in total.
    • There is a mandatory 6 hours of teaching practice for each candidate.
    • Teaching practice, feedback and guided lesson planning take place every morning.
    • Input seminars take place every afternoon.
    • The mandatory 4 written assignments are submitted in weeks 2 to 5.
    • Contact and exchange with the trainers is continuous every day over the five weeks.

    mixed mode 5 weeks full-time

    • Full-time combination of in person and online in Zoomn/Teams. 120 hours in total.
    • There is a mandatory 6 hours of teaching practice for each candidate.
    • Teaching practice, feedback and guided lesson planning take place every morning.
    • Input seminars take place every afternoon.
    • The mandatory 4 written assignments are submitted in weeks 2 to 5.
    • Contact and exchange with the trainers is continuous every day over the five weeks.

    TIMETABLE

    The timetable for both the face-to-face and 100% online course is the same:

     09.00 – 10.00 Assisted Lesson Planning

    10.00 – 12.00 Teaching practice (TP)

    12.00 – 13.00 Feedback

    14.00 – 15.15 – Input session

    15.30 – 16.30 – Input session

    16.30 – 17.00 – Rehearsal and lesson practice

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Language level: C1+ – need compency in written and spoken English.
    • Minimum age: 18
    • Educational level: applicants should be eligible for entry to university.
    • Required potential: applicants need to be able to demonstrate the potenital to devleop the necessary skills to become an effective teacher.

    TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR 100% ONLINE

    Equipment

    • A reliable computer and monitor or laptop.
    • Internet connect with reliable download speeds
    • USB headset with built in microphone is highly recommended.
    • A second screen is desirable.

     Software

    • An up-to-date operating system.
    • Up-to-date browser – Firefox, Chrome, Safair and Internet Explore.
    • Word processing software – MS Word, Open Office or Libre Office are suitable.

    HOW TO APPLY ?

    1. Complete the pre-course language evaluation task called the CELTA Pre-Interview Task (see document in top right column).
    2. Pass a 60-minute interview over the phone or face to face with a CELTA Trainer.
